Known for his colorful hair dye, Song also possesses a French passport. Song was born in Douala, Cameroon and lost his father at the age of three. Profile Football Stars | Silvestre Varela | Aged only 17, received a large Perišić amount of interest from a number of clubs, Including Anderlecht, PSV, Ajax, Trabzonspor, Hertha BSC and Hamburger SV,  before he eventually signed for French club FC Sochaux . He moved to France from Hajduk Split. In Split, he was called by some Journalists "the new Asanović," a famous Croatian midfielder who also played in France. From 2007 till January 2009 he played for FC Sochaux.


On 26 August 2009 Club Brugge signed Perišić from Sochaux for € 250,000 on a three-year deal. Belgian football Critics predict a bright future for the 20 year old. In the 2010-11 season, Perišić was the top scorer of the Belgian Jupiler Pro League with 22 goals for Club Brugge, and was elected Player of the Year in Belgium. On 21 April 2012, he scored the 1-0 goal Important against Borussia Mönchengladbach and opened the door to the eighth national championship for Dortmund.


Perišić has Appeared internationally for the Croatian national under-17, under-18 and under-21 teams. He participated in the 2011 UEFA European Under-21 Football Championship qualification for Croatia, where he scored two goals.
